Collegium of Hipolit Cegielski - most of all, its the headquarters of Faculty of Modern Languages and Literature, but students from other Facilities have classes there as well, especially from Faculty of Law and Administration.
Budynek jest zaadaptowany przez UAM z biurowca Fabryki Hipolita Cegielskiego (HCP) na sale wykładowe i ćwiczeniowe. W środku budynek wygląda na dydaktyczny, za to widok z okien jest na stricte industrialne krajobrazy, a bezproduktywny można sobie urozmaicić oglądaniem prawdziwej pracy :)
The building is adapted by AMU for lecture halls, but before it was an office builiding of Hipolit Cegielski's Factory (HCP). Inside it looks totally didactic, but view from all windows is strice industrial - it means you can watch real work while you are totally unproucitve during classes :)
Blok ma 4 piętra, jest prostym funkcjonalistycznym sześcianem z rzędami okien, urozmaiconych zamontowanymi bez ładu i składu żaluzjami zewnętrznymi (to akurat po zajęciach w czerwcowe popołudnie mogę zrozumieć).
Z zewnątrz jest bardzo zaniedbany, ale do tego można się już przyzwyczaić oglądając funkcjonalistyczne budynki w Polsce.
The building has 4 floors, and it's simple functional cube with series of windows - but don't be bored - they all have strange and irregular Venetian blinds - that's the thing I am able to undarstand after having classes there in late afternoon in June :)
Outside it is very neglected, but I have got used to it watching functional buildings in Poland.
