English version:
The evening of April 10th, 2010 - Poznań citizens in great numbers came to the Crosses Monument to light a candle and put flowers to honour all victims of today's plane crash in Smoleńsk.
Today Poland has to face an incredible tragedy - our President Lech Kaczyński, with First Lady Maria Kaczyńska and many other polish politicans, ministers f.e the Ombudsman, officers and other dignitaries died in a plane crash near to Smoleńsk, Russia. They all were coming to Katyń to mark the 70th annivesary of the Katyń massacre. It is confirmed that all 97 people on the aircraft died in the accident, what makes the day one of the most tragic moments in Poland's history.
The Crosses in Poznań are the place of Poznań 1956 protests against the communist government and now they are a symbol of free and democratic Poland.
Także UAM dołączył się do żałoby narodowej.
Adam Mickiewicz University is also in mourning.
[Przepraszam za jakość zdjęć, ale robiłem je telefonem - niestety zapomniałem zabrać aparatu] - I am really sorry for the quality - but they are all made by my phone, cause I forgot to take a camera.
